A large chunk of BPCL’s market is in the northeast, in the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram, which are home to the largest numbers of people.
In India, the region accounts for more than 70 percent of BPCl’s sales.
The drug company has been expanding its presence in other regions, especially in China.
BPCl recently acquired the generic drugs of a Chinese pharmaceutical company called Sanofi SA.
